As an editorial cartoonist for my high school and college newspapers, I learned the value and importance of telling a visual story that was clear, insightful, and poignant. Later, as Art Director for Telephony magazine, I created several cover illustrations on emerging Telecom topics of the week. Many other long-time clients have been in the nightclub business so ads tend to be over-the-top for them.

Eleven line drawings were created as chapter opening art for ABA Book Publishing for a book called "The Busy Lawyer's Guide to Success." The author requested simple almost crude line cartoons with a whimsical approach to lighten up the serious advice being offered.

Below is a :30 animated spot for a CurrentTV promo of their Bonnaroo Festival coverage. The scenes were drawn and animated by Jim Colao, and were sync'd to the voice over track, which also had a few music cues to follow.
